What is Chondrosarcoma? Uncommon malignant bone neoplasm in the jaws, usually of the anterior maxilla, consisting of a proliferation of plump chondroblasts or spindle-shaped mesenchymal cells and abnormal cartilage but no osteoid or bone. Chondrosacomas of the maxillofacial region are extremely rare tumors, accounting for only about 1% of chondrosarcomas of the entire body.
